[Plone-UI] workflow issues

Hi,

I'm finding users are having issues with workflows and sharing. A couple of issues seem to come up
- the desire to create workflows to allow different groups to see or act on different content
- the desire to create custom roles to allow different groups to see of act on different content

I'm not sure if this is a documentation problem but I suspect the UI could be improved to direct the user in the right direction.

I'd be interested in if others encounter these issues and if anyone has any ideas on how to solve this.
Some ideas I had are
- Change the word "roles". People confuse organisation roles with plone's roles. E.g. Staff or marketing are organisation roles. Instead of using groups to represent these and then sharing, they want create states like "staff only" and roles like "staff". A plone local role is more like a "capability" or a "permission set".
- Sharing at a glance - workflow state is very visible however sharing mode isn't. I think this leads people to want to change the workflow where sharing is a better options. Perhaps we can make the current sharing state more visible in the green bar? Also workflow state sets styles you can use with diazo to visibly warn a user that information they are viewing is restricted. Sharing doesn't set page styles. Perhaps there is a way we can set page styles for a sharing state?

other issues/ideas?
