[Plone-UI] Database/Filesystem Question

Hi I'm new to Plone and considering using it as my CMS of choice.

I've a question regarding the design of the backend:
Are there any ways (products?) that use the filesystem rather than zopedb
(or a RDBMS) to manage data?
I would like to deploy Plone in an organisation where data must be kept in
the most future accessible format, i.e. for them, html files.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for info on this?
