[Setup] Upgrade from Plone 4.0.2 to 4.2.4 failed

Can you remove the problematic addon or put in pdb breakpoint in the code?

Looks like it is a recursion error in some template, so it is most likely
related to the site customization and the only way to start to solve the
issue is to debug it yourself for what objects and templates it goes to
infinite recursion loop.
