hello,
i am new to plone and zope and need some help modifying the layout
WITHOUT adding new themes. i am doing this within ploneCustom.css and it
works better than expected. i am modifying the sunburst theme under
Plone 4.0.4,
Zope 2.12.16, Python 2.6.6 on Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu). but i am missing
some further handling:
- adding images (e.g. for css-backgrounds). i manged to change existing
images within /portal_skins/plone_images. but when i want to add some
via the import/export-menue i am puzzeled as it seems these need to be
zexp-packaged. is this true, so how to do so? i read about an "import"
folder to place in the zope's root dir, but adding jpgs there lets the
import-file-pulldown empty as before.
- adding further html content in order to achieve things like different
background-images on the left and on the right. i found some templates
at /portal_skins/plone_templates/ but these only descibe a part of what
i really see.
- clean erasing of some elements. e.g. i don't need "portal-searchbox",
how to drop this one? for now i erased its content, but the element
itself remains.
thank you for hints hereon, some of the questions may be basic but with
such basic search terms one doesn't find helpfull things on the net :-|
greetings from Tyrol/Austria,
andré
