I would add to this that there's a far simpler way to install Plone & 
add-ons on Debian Etch . Use the Unified Installer, which for Plone 3.1 
and later includes buildout. This builds everything for you, then all 
you need do is edit buildout.cfg to pull in whatever 3rd-party products 
you want and set your own Zope configuration.

Saves a lot of time.
