[Setup] Having multiple zinstances accessing a single ZODB

I am wondering if it is possible to have two identical zinstances access the
same ZODB.  I have two Plone servers for load balancing and am wondering if
there is another way of keeping the databases insync without have to
synchronize two separate ZODB's.

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
