Hi,
Its a bit hard to understand what you mean here, but, are you saying
if you create a folder, then "enable syndication" on it to give a RSS
feed, then if you have an index_html file in the folder, RSS stops
working? That sounds like a bug if true. So if clearly reproducible,
perhaps it should be filed as a bug.

PS This question is better asked on the plone-users list. plone-setup is
more for initial installs , migrations, setting up plone etc
PPS Since you've just posted your url, and you have join enabled,
unfortunately due to a bug in Plone you could get attacked by spammers
who take advantage of a security hole in "join". The solution to this is
either migrate to 2.1.4 now, or , at least until then, switch off the
join feature.
