[Setup] need help for customize searchbox in plone 2.1.2

hy,

i'm new in plone world,
i want to customize a searchbox by adding an 'Advanced Search' field at top
of resultset providing by searchbox

how can i do it?
is it possible by scripting?

i already find an example for adding a link in header, but it's not really
what i want.

i have another request, how can i change (adding and removing) displayed
field in advanced search
