[Product-Developers] Executing a script when a user's password is changed

I'm thinking it would be handy if I could give users a "Developer" role, and
when they get or change a password execute a script to give them subversion
access to my repository.

Before I put too much time into figuring out how to do that, does it seem
like a reasonable thing to do?  Is there a convenient event to hook into?
