If you write a PLIP, my advice is to not think of it as your one chance of
getting everything you want. Writing Salesforce.com will pretty much exclude
it from consideration (until that comment is made and the suggestion is
removed and people read it again).

Why? Because 99.5% of our users have no interest in Salesforce integration
and 99.5% of our developers have no experience *or* interest in it.

The same probably goes for things like newsletters and mass mailing. Think
about what enabling technologies would make it easy to build these things
into more specialised components, not what use cases you may have that Plone
core on its own doesn't support today.

So, for example:

 - Bulk member import/export is useful and generic. If there's some standard
format we could use, even better!
 - Bulk mailing is *possibly* generically useful, but would fit better with
a PLIP on improving mail and notification handling (we need that too)
 - Specific integration with specific, non-ubiquitous systems is a bad
proposal
 - PLIPs that are just requests ("ship remember with Plone") and no
justification ("because it solves these real problems and though it has
these riks it's not so bad") will likely be rejected as well.
