Right, but many smaller ngo's don't have the resources or knowledge (or
the money for the initial hardware costs) to host their own web servers,
so they will still be looking into virtual hosting. And in this case it
would be useful to have some documentation about the different usage
scenarios for ldap authentication. I can at least write to the plone
docs list about it, in case anyone feels like writing something.

Maybe we should have a plone ngo's irc meeting about who has what kind
of resources for Sam's project? It sounds like it's in the interest of
many of us. We would be interested in helping out but for the moment
that would mean testing and documentation and not financial.
