Plone NGO Mailing List FW: CEC has an RFP for an ASP

This is a rather well-written and pretty comprehensive CMS+ RFP from one
of the more sophisticated statewide environmental groups in the US.  I
thought it might be A) Interesting to some folks interested in
potentially bidding and B) Interesting as a reference for what a
sophisticated and tech-savvy nonprofit is capable of asking for these
days.
 
I didn't see any indication of how much they expected to spend.

	COLORADO ENVIRONMENTAL COALITION is interested in revising its
website in the following key areas:

	usability, performance, e-commerce, and backend management. The
purpose of this RFP is to provide a fair

	evaluation for all candidates and to provide the candidates with
the evaluation criteria against which they will be

	judged. Critical requirements have been developed and are
included as Appendix A of this Request for Proposal

	(RFP).

	 

	COLORADO ENVIRONMENTAL COALITION has a reputation for being a
leader in the area of nonprofit

	environmental policy and grassroots organizing. Visitors come to
our website to learn about current issues, take

	action on key campaigns, access to high quality information and
resources, and stay current with opportunities

	for involvement and community events. Our goal is to build and
maintain a high level of Internet services to

	support our constituents well and support our overall brand and
reputation. We seek to develop a user-friendly

	site that can deliver large amounts of constantly changing
information to our key audiences, allowing visitors to

	take action on various key issues. In addition, the site must
have easy to use e-commerce capabilities for event

	registration, membership dues with or without premiums, and
general (as well as targeted) fundraising

	campaigns.

	 

	Details of the nature and scope of the project are in the
enclosed RFP and Appendix A.

	Bids should be inclusive of all requirements and pricing. If the
candidate does not provide the product or service

	in question, we request that they indicate how they intend to
meet that requirement (e.g., through contracting

	with another vendor, working with CEC to develop the necessary
tools, etc.).

	 

	We will be making a timely decision; proposals should be
delivered no later than 10/31/2006 to:
