Don't be so timid :)

I *think* what you're asking for is a way of getting into Plone and learn
more about it. http://plone.org/documentation/how-to/read-documentationshould
be a good starting point. Plone Live is a good book, as well. And
really, you should just get it installed! :)

For general plone questions, the plone-user mailing list (
http://plone.org/support) is probably the best place to ask (this list is
about NGOs using Plone more specifically) - and also very friendly and full
of people like yourself that are just starting out. The #plone chatroom on
irc.freenode.net is another great place to get help.
