[NGO] what NGOs need in a website [checklist]

Guys,
This is really great. A lot of what you're saying here applies to the
wider community as well, but getting the requirements so clearly stated
"in the open" (companies are often shy about their requirements) is very
valuable.
I'll note that the workflow setting ("publishing site" vs. "community
site" etc.) are on the roadmap for 3.0. There is work to be done here,
though, and we need more people working on this (especially when it comes
to testing workflows, making config panels etc.). Anyone who is
interested, *please* drop plone-developers a mail!
The same goes for large file handling, though the way it's going it's
probably more like Plone 3.5... :-/ again, people who are interested in
picking this up will be given the greatest of support. I agree with what
you're saying - it's the out-of-the-box story we need to get straight, not
the "well, yeah, it's possible" story. The same goes for full-text
indexing, by the way. It was on the Summer of Code list, but sadly we
didn't get any serious proposals for this that were accepted.

I didn't do much, I mostly just asked others to do it for me. :) But I
hope this is a model we can follow in the future.
