It is too bad that nobody in the Bay Area Plone community was able to
represent Plone here.   As you can see, Drupal, Joomla and even RoR are
all participating -- and AdvocacyDev draws in some of the leading
nonprofit web development techies.
 
A missed outreach opportunity, for sure.

Howdy NOSI friends,

A number of the facilitators and participants at AdvocacyDev III next
week (July 31 - August 2,
http://www.aspirationtech.org/events/advocacydev3) have offered to give
trainings on their various platforms and areas of expertise. As a
result, we're making Wednesday, August 2nd a "Day of Training".
Trainings will include:

         Essentials of Email Campaigning Strategy
         Facilitated by David Taylor of Radical Designs

         Introduction to Web Publishing with Drupal
         Facilitated by Courtney Miller of Float Left and Jason Diceman
of Co-op Tools 

         Introduction to Web Publishing with Joomla
         Facilitated by Ryan Ozimek of PICnet

         Prototyping new advocacy tools: Using Ruby on Rails to do rapid
web development.
         Facilitated by Evan Henshaw-Plath of Protest.net

         Building and configuring CivicSpace/CiviCRM sites 
         Facilitated by David Geilheufe of CiviCRM/CivicSpace

         Integrating Podcasting into your campaign: A How-To 
         Facilitated by Evan Henshaw-Plath of Protest.net

         In-depth Drupal Development: Module Development and Theming
         Facilitated by Zack Rosen of CivicSpace

        Diving Deep with Joomla
         Facilitated by Ryan Ozimek of PICnet

Participants coming just for the trainings will be asked to make a
