[NGO] Introduction and Plone Bootcamp on east coast

Hello All,

I'd just like to briefly introduce the NGO I work for and attach this
introduction with a short announcement about the Plone Bootcamp in New
York, in Sept. I will be attending and hope that interested parties are
aware of the course, in case anyone else wants to participate. 

I work for the International Institute for Communication and
Development, (IICD) based in The Hague, The Netherlands. IICD is a
non-profit foundation that specialises in information and communication
technologies (ICT) as a tool for development.

We use Plone for our corporate website www.iicd.org as well as our
knowledge sharing website www.iconnect-online.org . We have recently
migrated the platforms to a webbureau with extensive knowledge of Plone
(called Amaze) and look forward to an upgrade to Plone 2.5 and competent
support so that we can fully realize the potential of Plone. Also I
would like to delve into the workings of Plone myself to increase my
insight in the platform, as well as take some minor tasks off the
programmers hands, so they can focus on the more complicated issues.

The bootcamp course in NY in Sept is exactly what I was looking for, and
at a very reasonable price! I am looking forward to it, and even more so
if others from other NGO's are interested to participate.

Plone Bootcamps comes for the first time to New York with our week-long,
hands-on developer bootcamp. We'll cover how to use, customize, and
develop for Plone sites, and welcome anyone experienced with HTML--no
Python or Plone experience is required. We'll give you the skills you
need to build your site or develop your consulting skills in Plone.

This bootcamp is offered to the general public, and is aimed at:

- people with HTML or web design experience
- people with some or no Python experience
- people with some or no Zope/Plone experience

It covers using Plone, customizing, and deploying Plone sites. You can
read more information about the Prerequisites and Agenda.  While the
exact start and end times are not finalized, class will be approximately
from 9 AM to 5 PM (Friday may break a bit early). We'll be meeting at
208 West 13th Street, right in the center of Manhattan.
Cost of course: 450$
