I propose to do it like this: 1. everyone of you has 3 points 2. you should write the points you want to assign to each candidate in your column in the spreadsheet. 3. points can be shared between 2 or 3 candidates, i.e. you can put 2 on candidate X and 1 on candidate Y or assign 1 point on 3 candidates you like. 4. I will not vote unless we have a tie, which will be quite hard for me because I was the one asking all of them to submit their application 5. after everyone voted (which I hope will happen in the next 24/48 hours) we can check the results and see if we think that the two candidates with the highest number of points can join the team keeping a good balance, if not I would happily declare my proposal a failure and organize an hangout to discuss that face to face :) If you like my proposal go to the spreadsheet and vote. If you think it is BS tell me openly (choosing candidates is not my job, I will not be offended). If you have better proposals, please tell me. Note: I ask you to judge the candidates based on what you know they did for the community and disregard their letter, I deliberately asked them to keep it really short. We should keep the FWT small and the responsibilities narrowed IMO. More people means longer meetings and more discussions. I am open for an efficient FWT with less meetings, dedicated members, and a clear mission. Most PLIPs we discuss come from people within the FWT already. We are about to add more people that are working on PLIPs. We will end up with a discussion round for people that implement PLIPs. I hesitate to just vote for individual members. For me it is more important that our new FWT is diverse and represents both Plone Classic and Volto. I'd propose to discuss this in a face-to-face meeting and make a decision in the next meeting. I will write to them that they have been selected 2. I will write a post on community.plone.org mentioning what happened The post will be something like. Subject: Two new volunteers have been selected for the FWT Body: We received 4 applications to volunteer for the FWT. After a thoughtful discussion, we have selected two new volunteers for the FWT: - Alin Voinea - Silvio Tomatis We thank all the applicants for their interest in contributing to the FWT activity. One option that we discussed was to select more than two candidates. We agreed, for the moment, to not change the team size. This can change in the future and we will consider the current applications still valid, if the applicants are still ok with that. We plan to have a FWT meeting in the next few weeks to welcome the new volunteers and to discuss the next steps. ~~ End of the post ~~ As usual, let me know if this is fine. If it is ok, we will have to: - Add Alin and Silvio to the Google ML (I think Jens can) - Add them to the GitHub plone group `@plone/framework-team` (I think Jens can) - Share to them the folder on Google Drive (I think I can do that) - organize a welcome meeting Suggestions and comments are always welcome, thanks a lot for your time!
