I'm in the same boat, Rose, I just sent the note below to Matt. I'd like to help and I'm looking for a place to start as I am unclear as to where things sit. Matt - if we are at ground zero, it sounds like Rose and I can take the ball and run.
Matt,
I am very interested in this project. I have written business cases for Plone and lamented the lack of executive-targeted arguments. I did not volunteer to lead the as it seemed like you had this in hand - this may have been a limitation of email.
If you have time for a Skype or phone call to offload what you have so far, I'm willing to step up.
Derrick

Subject: Re: [Plone-com] Someone needs to step up
I'm ready to do what I can; I have maybe 3 hours/week that I could put into this. I'm on vacation September 21, so can't be at that work session -- but I can do stuff on my lunch hours and other times.
Right now, I have a weak grasp of what plone.com<http://plone.com> is looking to accomplish, plus what materials are available and where they are. Are there a bunch of Google docs and spreadsheets? Is there a to-do list? What are the goals? What do people want in place by the Plone conference? What were the previous deadlines about and what was supposed to be accomplished by them? What are the logistics (server space, need of site admin, whatever) of what needs to be accomplished? Is there an IRC channel for plone.com<http://plone.com> discussions? I'd be glad to stay signed into it.
Does anybody have some details and history they can share?

Hi All,
We really need someone to step up and lead this. I've been trying so far to push things along, but clearly this approach is not working. I just do not have the time to do heard all the cats. We have a Plone tuneup coming soon (21st Sept IIRC), and it would be great to get some people together to get some work actually done on it. We lost the initial momentum with this project due to the marketing 'team' holding the project too close to its chest, not allowing anyone else to be involved, not communicating what was going on, and repeatedly missing deadlines they set. Now we have the opposite problem that we are trying to get people involved but no-one to co-ordinate or lead this.
This is an important thing for Plone. The original deadlines have passed and we are nowhere near close to our goals. I was really hoping to get something, anything, in place by Plone Conference in a month's time, but this is now looking increasingly unlikely.
Sorry if this email seems very blunt, but I've run out of being subtle.
-Matt
