Hi Matt,

I'm (still) in. I already have access to the feature list that Kim
shared and the top-sites list that Mark shared to me and have made some
updates there, but not in the last couple of weeks. We definitely need
to pare things down to a focused message for the initial visit to the
site by evaluators/decision-makers (than the long list we have); site
visitors can then drill down further to some, more lengthy list of
features with descriptions, I'm thinking.

While (or whilst ;) ) we might not get a lot of CIO contribution, if we
solicit them (from our current client base), I think that there will be
some C-level folks (perhaps not necessarily CIOs) who want to help more
than you might imagine. We've had numerous partners over the years who
have had a hard time pulling together good marketing materials to help
'sell Plone' as the CMS solution for combined design/CMS/integration
efforts we've submitted bids on. These people desperately want to be
able to point to a Plone.com type marketing site that has features, case
studies, portfolio, find-an-integrator, etc. as its main navigation
tabs, as any commercial CMS or CMS integrator would have. I know of at
least a couple director-or-C-level people who would be interesting in
helping, if we asked, and I suspect others on this list do as well.

If nothing else, once we have our 'full' feature list (before we trim it
down), we could ask for our business partners (those out there trying to
look really smart by pushing Plone into their client projects) to review
the list and provide feedback. That way, the 'heavy' lifting is done
for them - they don't have to come up with a complete list on their own
or spend a lot of time - but they're likely to point out the 2-3 things
they don't see on the list that are really important to them (especially
important if they are non-programmers; if they see requirements more
from the business side of things, as they normally do.)

And if we want their participation, we can either email the draft/full
list to them to get their input manually, or we could put together a
surveymonkey survey for them to complete (short one) that captures there
input in one place.

Thanks,
Ken
